The 13th International Baltic Scientific Medical Forum “Saint-Petersburg – Gastro2011” took place in the hotel Holiday Inn “Moscow Triumphal Gate” 18-20 May 2011.  

Almost 2000 specialists of more than 80 home and foreign companies from all regions of Russia, Belorussia, Ukraine, and the other countries of CIS, Baltic states and East Europe participated in the work of the Forum.

Maslovsky, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor of Gastroenterology Department of the Office of the President of the Russian Federation made the report “Use of polyprenols: Ropren in treatment of patients with alcoholic cirrhosis” within the program of the Conference in the section "Lessons of hepatology II: do we need hepatoprotectors in the therapy of chronic non-viral diffuse liver diseases?"

The reporter S.S. Vyalov, an assistant lecturer of the Department of General Practice of the PFUR (The Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia), Moscow, presented the report «Polyprenols effect on inflammation Processes and liver fibrosis» in a poster session format.

3 - 4 December, 2010 the Siberian Forum of Gastroenterology took place in Novosibirsk. The Forum «New Targets of Gastroenterology» was dedicated to the 75th anniversary of Novosibirsk State Medical University and the 40th anniversary of Siberian Department of Russian Academy of Medical Sciences.

International Scientific Conference "Scientific research development and infectious diseases surveillance" organized within the framework of Year of Russia in France and Year of France in Russia was held on 18-20 May, 2010.
